What does “age-restricted community” mean?
An age-restricted community requires that someone in each household be at least 55 years old. Children ages 19 and younger are not allowed to reside in the Mirasol Senior Living Community; however, they may visit for up to a two-week period at a time. Other family members older than 19 years of age may live in the community with an appropriately aged member.
What are the housing options at Mirasol Senior Living Community?
Mirasol offers home ownership and affordable and market-rate rental opportunities. We offer existing homes for sale, homes under construction, and lots. We also three floor plans for homes for sale, two options for duplexes for rent, and two apartment sizes for rent. We like to say we have something for everyone.
What is considered an affordable rent?
Affordable rents at Mirasol are targeted to people at 30-40-50-60% of local area median income as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as are the fair market rents. Mirasol offers "affordable" rents based upon the HUD critieria in the apartment building and the Alamosa paired home. For current rents and fees, please call 970-663-1300.
Are pets allowed at Mirasol?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community as long as pets comply with the community’s pet policy. If you're interested, please ask for a copy of the pet policy.
How are utilities paid?
At the Mirasol apartment complex, all utilities are included in the rent. At the rental homes, residents are responsible for paying for their electricity and natural gas bills. Individuals who own homes at Mirasol are responsible for their utilities, with exception to exterior irrigation.
Are there additional services provided at Mirasol?

Can residents garden or plant flowers?
Absolutely, we help facilitate gardening through our community gardens. We also provide flower boxes at homes so residents who enjoy gardening can add their personal touch. If you are a gardener, you’ve come to the right place as our gardening group allows fellow gardeners to share tips and techniques.
Is there a meal program?
Mirasol provides a continental breakfast including cereal, pastries, seasonal fruit, coffee and tea. Mirasol is designed for independent living, so a full meal plan is not provided for residents. Every home includes a full kitchen, and the manager can help connect you with some of the many meal service programs offered throughout Larimer County.
Does Mirasol Senior Living Community offer assisted living?
Mirasol does not offer assisted living on site. However, the Community Manager is able to assist residents and their families with finding in-home care through referrals to outside services and agencies. Future plans include Mirasol partnering with some type of continuing care provider to build a facility on campus.
When will phase II be completed?
Phase II is currently in the planning and development stage. The development team is working on the site plan and city approvals. Infrastructure construction should begin in March of 2012. Currently Mirasol is building more for sale homes that will be ready for move in by early 2012.
What are some local amenities to this community?
The beautiful Winona Park and City of Loveland outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts are located two blocks from Mirasol. Additionally, the Chilson Senior Center is within one-half mile of the community. Local merchants, museums, sculpture parks, banks, and Walmart are located within a two-mile radious of Mirasol. State of the art medical care can be found through out the Loveland with the new Medical Center of Rockies and other wonderful health care providers.
